Spondon (St. Werburgh's) Church War Memorial
ERECTED BY THE PARISHIONERS IN MEMORY OF THE MEN OF SPONDON WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR, 1914 – 1918
According to the Derby Daily Telegraph of 14 March 1921, it was unveiled 2 days previously by Captain John Drury‑Lowe, of the Scots Guards, who had succeeded to Locko Hall after the death of his elder brother William Drury‑Lowe in 1916.
